The hinged boot came into play when the University of Delaware approached Jackson about building a boot with an easy flex action.  In those days, the support was so stiff that skaters experienced injuries due to the manufacturing of inflexible boots.  This was done as a test to see if this hinged style would a) alleviate possible injuries while at the same time stand up to the rigors of the sport..

All used skates are cleaned, sanitized and come with new laces.
